Welcome to ArtToy
Your character deserves more than a sketch on a screen or a render on Instagram. It deserves to be held, collected, and displayed. It deserves to have weight, texture, and presence. But the gap between a concept and a shelf-ready Art Figure is filled with manufacturing pitfalls—toxic materials, broken communication, lost details, and stolen designs. We bridge that gap. From the first polygon to the final unboxing, we are the architects of your imagination.
Why Choose ArtToy?
Protect Your Art. Elevate Your Brand.
Ironclad Intellectual Property Protection
The NNN Standard: We don't just sign a generic NDA. We offer enforceable NNN (Non-Disclosure, Non-Use, Non-Circumvention) Agreements tailored for cross-border enforcement.
Ownership: The horror stories of "Shift Production" are real, but not here. We understand that your molds are your assets. You own the molds. You own the IP. We are simply the hands that build it.
Get QuoteEco-Conscious & Certified Safe
Phthalate-Free Guarantee: We exclusively cast in ATBC-PVC, a citrate-based plasticizer derived from natural sources. It delivers the classic soft vinyl feel without the harmful chemicals.
Global Compliance: Our facilities and materials are certified to exceed ASTM F963 (USA), EN71 Parts 1-3 (Europe), and CPSIA standards. Sleep easy knowing your figures are legal to sell in every major market.
Get QuoteMuseum-Quality Finishing
We treat finishing as an art form.
Copper Mask Precision: We invest in electroformed copper spray masks that fit your figure like a second skin, allowing for crisp color breaks and intricate gradients that hand-painting simply cannot replicate.
Mixed Media Capabilities: From Glow-in-the-Dark (GID) vinyl to transparent resin inserts and flocking, we offer the premium finishes that drive secondary market value.
Get QuoteAccessible Professionalism
We believe the next KAWS, Be@rbrick, or Kidrobot starts small.
Flexible MOQs: We are one of the few professional-grade factories offering Low Minimum Order Quantities (starting at 100-300 units for select projects).
Retail-Ready Packaging: We engineer Blind Box mystery packaging, blister cards, and premium window boxes with foil stamping, handling the logistics so you receive a product ready for the shelf.

How to Custom Art Toy?
From Concept to Collectible
Design & Digital Sculpting
The biggest bottleneck is translating a 2D illustration into a production-ready 3D model.
- The Problem: 2D sketches can be “physically impossible” in 3D space (floating parts, impossible geometry).
- The Solution: Our Design Assist team rebuilds intent into real geometry using ZBrush (organic sculpting), Rhino (mechanical parts), and Maya (articulation & rig-ready joints).
- Accepted Formats: OBJ, STL, STP, IGS.
Prototyping
Choose the right prototype based on what you need to validate first.
- PU Sample (Polyurethane) — “Golden Sample”: CNC-machined or silicone-cast to mimic the weight and feel of final vinyl, then hand-polished and painted to match the production unit.
- 3D Printed Sample: Faster and more cost-effective for checking size and silhouette, typically SLA/DLP for high resolution.
- Timeline: Prototyping typically takes 7–14 days.
Mold Making
Molds determine unit economics. Higher upfront tooling typically reduces long-term per-unit cost.
| Mold Type | Material | Estimated Cost (USD) | Lifespan (Cycles) | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steel Mold | Hardened Steel | $2,000 – $6,000+ | 50,000 – 100,000+ | High-volume Vinyl/PVC, crisp details, mass retail. |
| Copper Mold | Electroformed Copper | $1,500 – $3,000 | 20,000 – 50,000 | Rotocasting Vinyl (Sofubi), organic shapes. |
| Silicone Mold | RTV Silicone | $300 – $600 | 20 – 50 | Low-volume Resin, complex undercuts, prototypes. |
Why it matters: Steel molds cost more upfront, but dramatically reduce unit cost over time. Silicone molds have a low barrier to entry, but usually mean higher per-unit costs ($15–$35) due to labor-intensive casting and short mold life.
Production & Decoration
- Rotocasting: Liquid vinyl is poured into a heated copper mold and spun on two axes. Centrifugal force pushes vinyl to the walls, forming a hollow figure that’s lightweight, durable, and more cost-efficient to ship—one reason vinyl is the industry standard for larger pieces.
- Decoration Methods:
- Pad Printing: A silicone pad transfers ink from an etched plate—ideal for logos, eyes, and text.
- Spray Masks: Copper or steel masks clamp over the figure for clean, repeatable color blocking.
- Hand Painting: Washes, dry brushing, and micro-details that machines can’t reach—where the artisan finish comes to life.
